Billing Provider

When you click on the Billing Provider code, the Billing Provider Information screen displays with the current billing provider's information.

Note: If the Billing Provider on the claim isn't on the system, only the Add Billing Provider option displays as an option of the Star Menu and possibly the Add Service Provider (if the Service Provider on the claim isn't on the system). . Once the Billing Provider is added, the Billing Provider Information option displays from the Star Menu.

This function summarizes basic information about the billing provider listed on the current claim. The billing provider will receive payments for services provided by its service providers.

Here you can set up and maintain billing provider information, including demographics and W-9 tax information.

Service Provider

When you click on the Service Provider code, Service Provider information displays with Demographics, Additional Information, and Additional Matching Criteria information for the current service provider .

Note: If the Service Provider on the claim isn't in the system, only the Add Service Provideroption displays in the and possibly Add Billing Provider (if the Billing Provider on the claim isn't in the system). Once the Service Provider is added, the Service Provider Information option displays.

Add a service provider

When you select Add Service Provider, a blank Service Provider screen displays to add a new service provider.
